The 2017 BMW 5 Series has shed some camouflage for its latest round of spy photos.

The standard 5 Series has been spied testing alongside a variant equipped with the M Sport package, giving the luxury sedan an even sportier appearance. The more aggressive M Sport front bumper is complemented by wider side skirts and M wheels and blue brake calipers. In comparison, the standard BMW 5 Series’ front bumper looks tame, although it is still camouflaged.

Spy photographers also got our first look at the 2017 BMW 5 Series’ interior even if the German automaker has covered up most of the important bits. We do see a large infotainment screen mounted on the dash.

The next-generation BMW 5 Series is shaping up to resemble a smaller 7 Series model and will ride on BMW’s new modular platform debuting on the next-generation 7 Series. Expect the luxury sedan to weigh around 220 pounds less than the current model with four- to eight-cylinder engines powering it.
